CYPRESS HILLS GRASSLANDS (CHGL) ART CENTRE
PERSONALIZED ART RETREATS
On-site at Cypress Hills Park, Frenchman Valley, Consul, Pine Cree and the ghost town of Robsart, SK. HOLIDAY HOUSE
The Holiday House has room for up to eight people in four bedrooms. This is a peaceful place to come for a holiday and tour the area. Cypress Hills Park and the T-rex Discovery Centre in Eastend are only 1/2 hour away. The Nature Conservancy of Canada opened an interpretive centre on Old Man on His Back in June 2006. You can see bison roaming on native prairie only 20 minutes south of CHGL Art Centre and Holiday House.
SUMMER STUDIO SPACE
The CHGL Art Centre has a large studio space upstairs and a work place in the basement. A word to the wise, don't do what I did and build your 4' x 12' frame in the basement, you'll never get it up the stairs. The photo is of me, the artist and owner, (Nancy-Jean) starting to make a brand new frame.
Artists are in for a treat- the landscapes change from mixed grass prairie to evergreen forests to badlands, all within 1/2 hour from this central location
